Watch the Pixar film ‘Lava’. Talk to a grown up about how the male volcano is feeling at the start of the film. Write a list of adjectives.

Tuesday

Watch the video again. Imagine you’re the male volcano singing the song. Write some sentences to explain how you are feeling to the female volcano.

Remember to use capital letters finger spaces and full stops.

Wednesday

Watch the video again and focus on the section where the male volcano has shrunk down under the sea and can hear the female singing. Talk to a grown up about how he is feeling now. What would he want to say to the female volcano if he could? Again pretending you are the male volcano, write a few sentences to explain what he would want to say.

Thursday

Re-watch the end of the video. How is the volcano feeling once he has finally met the female volcano? Write a list of adjectives and put them into sentences.

Friday

At school on a Friday we do an independent write. Today we would like you to write a love letter from the male volcano to the female volcano. Look over your writing this week. Watch the video one more time. Imagine you are the male volcano and write a love letter to the female volcano to explain how you feel.
