Week 6 - Marvellous Me
Topic
This week's theme explores what makes each child individual and special. Please discuss the following with your child:
- What is your full name?
- How old are you?
- What month is your birthday in?
- What words would you use to describe yourself?
- How have you changed since you were a baby?
Activities
- Make a self-portrait. A self-portrait is a picture of yourself. You could use pencil crayons, felt-tips or paint. Make sure you think about your different features (eyes, eyebrows nose, ears, mouth). Think about your eye, hair and skin colour.
- Make a card for one of your friends at Nursery.
- Your name is very important. It is part of who you are! It is important that you recognise your name and start to learn to write it. Ask a grown-up to write it down for you. Now have a try at forming some of the letters yourself.
Books
We have 3 books that we would like you to listen to this week:
