Week 5 - 28th September - 2nd October
Writing
Following on from our work from last week, we will be writing a character description based on our very own 'classroom character'. Click here to listen to the original story 'The Day The Crayons Quit' to remind you of all of the hard work we did last week!
This week, we would like you to use the PowerPoint and follow the instructions on the slides for each day. You will find a new learning objective and date at the start of each new task! Click here to find the PowerPoint and read below for a summary of your daily tasks!
Monday - Watch the video, complete the grammar games and use the slow write structure to write your own character description of Peach Crayon.
Tuesday - Design your own classroom object and think about a problem it could have. Follow the grammar games to think about different sentence types and powerful vocabulary you could use.
Wednesday - Use the WAGOLL and your work from last week to draft your description of your character from yesterday.
Thursday - Use the editing slides to edit your work and then write it up neatly! Remember to send us anything that you are proud of!
Friday - Use your work from this week to develop your speaking and listening skills. Read your work alone and out loud, focusing on using expression to showcase meaning! Finally, perform your writing to an adult in your house and evaluate your performance!
